No one does luggage like Shay Mitchell.
Her company BÉIS is thriving. ICYMI and are living under a rock, it’s everywhere. Aesthetic luggage has never been more desirable.
The Pretty Little Liars actress saw something missing in the $17 billion luggage industry back in 2018 and jumped on it.
And as a result, she’s created an entirely new market for luggage. It’s in between the luxury pieces that cost as much as your Euro trip and the hand-me-downs from your parents.

I was never a huge luggage girlie. But with each new BÉIS launch, I find myself not just wanting but needing everything she creates.
This girl is good at what she does.
But wait — there’s more.
Shay also founded Onda, a canned sparkling tequila company that’s flying off the shelves. AND she’s launching a Max travel show, Thirst, that takes her around the world to try different drinks.
Oh ya, and she’s a mom of two, too.

Like HOW DOES SHE DO IT?
Shay is seriously the definition of a PowerFemme, and we love her.
Recently, she shared some deets of her entrepreneurial journey that I thought were inspiring and wanted to share with you guys.
-
She’s hands-on. Shay rolled up her sleeves and traveled to China to source materials and samples for BÉIS. By diving deep into the manufacturing process, she got a firsthand look at and understanding of her product from start to finish.
-
She values authenticity. Shay is all about building real connections with her BÉIS customers rather than paying for celeb endorsements. She loves getting out there and connecting with real-life customers (check out BÉIS TikTok).
-
She has a strong team. Her secret weapon? A dream team that shares her passion and keeps her motivated.
-
She’s social media savvy. Shay knows how to use platforms like IG and TikTok to connect with her audience and build a loyal following.
-
She has mentors. Shay knows that she doesn’t know it all. So she looks to mentors for guidance and support through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
-
She knows balance. Juggling being a boss babe and a mother? Shay’s got it figured out. She knows the importance of self-care and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
